Although after the 2004 Asian tsunami we did help with orphanages, counselling and other remedial work, the bulk of our efforts were directed towards the building of over 120 houses, that were damaged beyond repair in the district of Matara, on the southern tip of Sri Lanka.

The major part of the project was sponsored by CAFOD, and we worked with two local NGOs on the ground.

Although we encountered more than a few problems during the construction period, we finally completed all the houses, and are very pleased that we managed to do so using bricks and systems that were as environmentally friendly as we could manage.
