Zambia (2000-2007)
|
In the early years of the millennium, we helped to co-ordinate several projects in Zambia. The bulk of our work centred around providing support for children who were infected or affected by HIV/AIDs. We helped co-ordinate a project in the east of the country, providing seed and irrigation equipment for the impoverished villagers of Katete. The second major project was the construction of a self-sustainable school, where the buildings, offices and toilets were paid for by donors. During the time we were active in Zambia, we also constructed several toilet blocks, with additional water facilities, including one that is sited in the grounds of the Missionaries of Charity, the order founded by Mother Theresa. |
