Allsop

Allsop have for some years supported the amazing work that Wherever the Need carries out in India. The funds we have raised have helped to build washing facilities and toilets at a girls’ school in Tamil Nadu in South East India and an ecosan project for an Indian village in Maharashtra providing water and sanitation facilities.

Some of the Allsop team visits the ecosan they helped build

We are currently raising funds for our next project which will help the village of Sengai Odai in India where villagers have no option but to drink polluted water from a hole in the ground. Their lack of clean water and sanitation facilities, inevitably, results in many suffering from severe illness.

This is the most used source of drinking water in Sengal OdaiWe see this project as a chance to make a real difference and save lives. If we reach our target, we will be able to achieve our goals by providing:

  • a sanitation unit for every family
  • a new clean water system
  • dairy or poultry livestock
  • training and tools to give independence

Allsop teams will be jumping out of planes and cycling 7,000 miles as part of our fundraising drive.
Please help us make a real difference.

Rob Birtles

Rob Birtles has set himself a personally challenging target of covering 700 miles by December. This will be by bicycle, walking and canoeing. The cycling will be mostly off road, up on the Sussex Downs where he’ll be exposed to the winds and rough conditions. The canoeing will be down his local river to the sea which can be harder when the tide is pushing in the opposite direction. He’s making good progress but this will become all the more challenging as the nights draw in. Thank you so much for supporting him in this wonderful cause that will make such a difference to so many people.
